I am a photographer based in New York City, currently studying Fine Arts at the University of Pennsylvania. I also work as Senior Photographer and Photo Editor at the Daily Pennsylvanian, Penn's independent, student-run newspaper and a Staff Photographer at The WALK, Penn's fashion magazine.
My interest in photography began in middle school, when I started to go to galleries in Chelsea with my mom. I got my first camera when I was 14 and have been shooting ever since. My work spans from portraiture, to documentary, to journalism, to the occasional landscape.
As an artist, I believe in the complexity of simplicity. My work is open to the interpretation of the viewer, and while some of my images were made with certain motivations or underlying ideas, the message I aimed for might not be the message of the final project. Once made, I believe that images speak for themselves and by themselves.
